I visited Lincoln High School in Tallahassee's website and was able to find the teacher pages. I clicked on a teacher named Nick, Daigle and he teachers marine science and biology honors. He has a tab where you can click "meet the teacher," "marine science," "marine science calendar," "marine science study guides," "biology honors," "biology honors calendar," "biology honors study guides," and "helpful links." Within each of these tabs has information on the course itself, the calendar of when important dates are and links students can access that will give students more resources to utilize for the course if they need extra help. These all seem to be helpful things that both students and parents could access in order for more insight on to what they or their children will be learning about in the particular class.

I plan on using technology to accomplish my responsibilities by using effective websites that I can communicate with my colleagues and students on. For example, Edmodo is an efficient site for doing that and along with this, I will use Youtube videos, Khan Academy, and other sources that will provide entertaining and informational videos that could help explain a lesson further. I will also find engaging websites like Kahoot that my students can do in class that will keep them entertained while also learning information. I want them to have the option of using computers in the classroom in order for them to complete in-class assignments, do research, as well as be able to do homework if they do not have access to internet or technology at home.

When I visited the tech sandbox, I interacted in the hands-on time with the virtual reality and using the 3D pens. I found the virtual reality to be useful as a center in more of an after school setting for kids to play around with. There were other things similar to the virtual reality that had to do with your phone and apps you could download and use the dice with the QR codes on them for looking at educational things like space or helping children to express their emotion by looking at the different avatars. However, I do think these things would be more useful in a center rather than play a main role in the classroom. The 3D pens were very cool to use and I think any students would find them interesting as well. These could also be used in a center and it allows students to create whatever they want, or if you wanted to relate it to an educational concept like shapes, drawing animals, practicing tracing, etc.
